Tenasol

Terms of Use

Tenasol De-identify. DRAFT, not signed off (PLAN.md D7).

Using the tool

  • Tenasol De-identify is a free tool that removes identifiers from one medical record at a time.
  • Upload only de-identified or synthetic records. Do not upload real patient information or other personal information. The free tool isn't covered by a HIPAA Business Associate Agreement.
  • Daily limits apply: 3 summaries a day without an account or with an unverified email, 20 a day with a verified account. We may change the limits, or pause the service.
  • Don't try to get around the limits (for example with many accounts), disrupt the service, or use it to break the law.

The summaries

Automated de-identification can miss identifiers or remove too much. Always check the result before you share it. It is not medical advice and must not be used to make clinical decisions.

Your account

  • You're responsible for keeping your sign-in details safe.
  • We may suspend or delete accounts that break these terms.
  • Accounts unused for 12 months are deleted. You can delete yours at any time from your account page.

No warranty

The service is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, Tenasol is not liable for any loss arising from using it or from relying on a result.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
